Groundswell Ready for Take Off 2020

Groundswell is ready for an exciting 2020 as we celebrate the success and growth of our startup companies. Since 2016, Groundswell companies have raised over 25 million dollars in funding. As an organization, we know that access to capital, especially in the early stages of development, is crucial to a startup's success. Through our incubator program and the dedication of our mentor network, companies are gaining access to the resources they need to be successful right here on the Space Coast.

This year we look forward to growing our community partnerships and sharing the stories of our companies. Groundswell is a community of innovators and creatives where everyone comes from a place of how can I help; I am inspired by the vision, determination, and grit our companies display everyday as they work to make a positive change in their industries and community. We invite you to learn more about our work.

Come see us at Groundswell!

Tyton Biosciences, the developer of a world-changing recycling technology for the fashion industry, recently closed on its $8 million Series A Funding lead by Tin Shed Ventures, the investment arm of Patagonia. Of the roughly 100 billion garments produced each year, over 70% ends up in a landfill. Tyton’s solution is able to recover raw materials, including cotton pulp and polyester, from discarded clothing and textile waste to create new fabrics. By doing so, the company aims to clean up one of the most carbon intensive, environmentally destructive and wasteful industries in the world.

Thank you to the Space Coast Economic Development Commission for their continuous support. Check out the feature on Groundswell & Tomahawk Robotics around the 6:14 mark!
